Bible Study for Adults 50+
“The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating . . . soul and spirit . . . able to discern reflections of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
About the Ministry
The Catholic Church encourages an interpretative approach to understanding the Scriptures. Participants use a study version of the New American Bible, Revised Edition (NABRE) and follow the historical-critical method in their exploration of Scripture. This approach focuses on the author’s original intent, the audience, and interpretation of the text based on the historical context, cultural situation, and literary form. The 50+ Bible Study meets every other Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 10 am in the Jubilee Room.
